Rumours of Emma Watson's retirement crushed social media for the past few days. After her agency reported her to be 'dormant'; people took it to heart and started talking on social media platforms: Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok. Some people took it to heart but many sympathised with the worldwide spectacular. 'She gave up her childhood for us, let her be.' read numerous TikTok comments.

Emma Watson began her career in 2001 on the Philosopher's Stone as her first acting role. After 10 years, Watson ended an era having filmed for the final instalment of Harry Potter - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II. Having put aside her broomstick she further starred in The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), The Bling Ring (2013), Your Voice in My Head (2014), Regression(2015), the Red Pill(2016) and Beauty and the Beast (2017).

During her time in the spotlight, she has always been very vocal on women's rights and it was clear from her alleged disputes with author JK Rowling over her views on transgender people. Although over time, her pages began to ghost away and a statement from her agency on 25 February led many to believed she had finished. In reality, she could've stopped acting right after her wizarding life, and still lived a life of wealth and riches.

Although for her certain financial stability, the 30-year-old actress quickly responded through a representative as United Entertainment manager Jason Weinberg said: " Emma's social media accounts are dormant but her career isn't." In essence, the bright, beautiful witch that we all know and love isn't finished yet and we can only imagine what's coming next.
