On Monday 25th March a Psychology A-Level conference was held at Emmanuel Centre, Westminister where we heard well-known psychologists speak about a variety of specialist topics and revise topics like the mystery of the Jack the Ripper case and more to do with how to revise more effectively to provide increased chances of performing well on your exams. The students also and heard from the prominent psychologist - Elizabeth Loftus about her work in memory, a key part in the A-Level exam for psychology that the attending students will be taking in summer and the venue also sold relevant books in between the lunch break where you could get the books personally signed by the available writer. Elizabeth Loftus, the well renowned American psychologist, elaborated on her works and findings on misinformation, faulty recall which can be generalised under the topic of memory.

According to our school, Norbury Manor Bussiness and Enterprise College for Girls, the aim of the day was to expose the students to conference style learning in preparation for university and the world of work. The students of, Norbury Manor Bussiness and Enterprise College for Girls found this day very intriguing and interesting as they were able to learn more about Elizabeth Loftus and ask her questions after her talk the end which they appreciated as it filled up any areas of concern where they needed more information and they received it directly from Elizabeth Loftus which was an extraordinary and rare opportunity for all the students.
