You can get information and advice on how you can own your first home next month.
Organised by Wandsworth Council’s home ownership team, the event will take place in The Civic Suite in the Town Hall, in Wandsworth High Street, from between 2pm to 8pm.
You can meet them as they manage a list of eligible buyers in the borough, and many of the new homes being built in Wandsworth can be purchased on shared ownership terms by local buyers who either live or work in the area.
However, potential buyers must be registered on the home ownership team’s list.
Open the Door 2017, a completely free event, also provides advice to council tenants who wish to explore all their housing options and includes information on house purchase grants, right to buy and right to part buy.
The council’s house lettings team will also be available to answer enquiries from tenants who wish to move into a different, but more suitable, property, and local housing providers with independent financial and legal advisors will be around to give personal advice on mortgages and buying processes.
Affordable Housing Open Day is taking place on Thursday, October 19, and is open to residents in Wandsworth who have a maximum household income of £90,000.
