Arsenal fans were delighted to have completed the signing of Martin Odegaard on loan from Real Madrid until the end of the season. The 22-year-old midfielder made it clear he wanted to leave in January in order to play regular first-team football, having played just nine times in all competitions for Real Madrid this season.

However, since Odegaard has come into the Arsenal side, he has played 7 games (5 Premier League/2 Europa League games), and has yet to register a goal/assist. Questions are being posed as to wheter he really is the star-boy he was promised to be.

On the contrary, it seems that Odegaard is slowly but surely finding is way at Arsenal. Many Arsenal fans can agree that his energy and style of play has really benefitted Arsenal's attack, playing many key passes and moving the ball around with intnent. This was clear in today's game against Leicster, where he was forced on just before half-time and made an immediate impact, feeding Pepe on the right whose effort resulted in a spot kick which Lacazette duly converted. He had a big hand in the third too, keeping the ball alive with remarkable feet to somehow find Willian.
