Tottenham Hotspur Football Club: Could they win a trophy after over a decade?
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC) are a North London side and their stadium is situated at White Hart Lane. After the past seasons, THFC has had significant amount improvement in overall performance, raising the question will they win a title this 20/21 season. These advancements include the Champions League final in the 2018/19 season, which they unfortunately lost, yet was still an achievement for the club and fans.Additionally, they finished 2ndin the Premier League in the 2016/17 season, which was their highest placement since the 1962/63 season.
Last season THFC said goodbye to Mauricio Pochettino, who managed the team from 2014 – 2019. He took the team to great highs, the most memorable the Champions League Final. Yet, after a poor start to the 19/20 season, he was sacked a replaced with Jose Maurinho. Since joining the club, in November 2019, José has mad a tremendous impact on the team, with many new signings and new style of play. Despite, only finishing 6th on the table, and only achieving an Europa League spot, José addition has pleased fans around the world. José Maurinho himself has won a trophy at every club he has coached and wishes to carry on at Tottenham throughout his duration at the club. This current season, Tottenham have played exceptionally well, beating the top clubs such as Manchester United and Manchester City. Furthermore, the two forwards Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min have accumulated the most goals together this season than any other club. Tottenham are currently sitting at the top of the Table level points with Liverpool and playing well in the Europa League, with the last match ending a 4-0 win to Tottenham.
The consistency in the clubs performance, has left many concluding that there is a high chance in Tottenham winning a trophy after decades of drought. Many Tottenham fans are positive that their team will produce a Trophy in the coming the coming months.
