Following an injury sustained during gymnastics training, Freya Hughes undertook physical therapy in order to recover. This led to her experiencing acupuncture for the first time.

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical treatment, but it has become increasingly popular in the UK. It involves the placing of needles into specific points of the patients body, most often for pain relief.

Freya Hughes noted how it ‘sped up the healing process,’ and that she is now ‘back to doing some light exercise.’ She praised its effectiveness, and noted that she ‘would get it again’ if she needed it.
