Keith Andrews says Brentford looked the more likely to win as they played out a goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Thomas Frank's return to the Gtech Community Stadium.

It was a first clean sheet at home, but Brentford still remain winless in the Premier League at home against the North London club.

However, Andrews thought the Bees' second-half display was enough to get one over on their former boss.

"We edged in the second half for sure. If anyone was going to go and win the game, I felt it would be us,", Andrews said after the game.

"I felt we were building momentum, we were sustaining attacks, we were getting into good areas. And then the way that they were playing, slowing the game down, not wanting us to gain momentum, was always going to be difficult to just keep that going.

"I felt we did, and I felt we created a few decent opportunities. Unfortunately, we couldn't take them, but you're always wary of the individuals that they have and the moments that they can produce, so you have to be careful in terms of how much you chase it because you can't underestimate a point and a clean sheet in this league obviously."

One moment of controversy saw Tottenham defender Cristian Romero go through Brentford striker Igor Thiago as the striker went in on goal.

Andrews' verdict was straight to the point, saying the Argentine should have been sent off for the challenge on the Brazilian.

"I thought it was a red card. I think what makes it even more frustrating is he should have had a red card in the first game 26 days ago where he scissored Thiago from behind, which was a dangerous tackle."

"So people that come here frequently will hear me speaking about the officials and the difficult job they have. Very, very, very respectful. Always try to treat them with respect during games, pre, post.

"I felt Spurs were very lucky with that tonight."
