Charlton’s Ben Amos will be back in full training next week as he recovers from an operation to his finger.
The Addick’s shot stopper who has spent the season playing number two to Dillon Phillips, has not featured in the match day squad since October 19 due to a hand injury.
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer confirmed the 29-year-old summer arrival underwent successful surgery last week.
“It’s good news with Ben,” he said.
“Obviously he had the operation on the finger and it’s looking good now.
“He’s been outside kicking balls, but next week he’ll be handling balls.
“He’ll be back the next couple of weeks.”
Amos’ has played second fiddle to the standout Phillips this season, while his place on the bench has been taken by 20-year-old Ashley Maynard-Brewer in recent weeks while out injured.
“Dillon’s doing great,” Bowyer added.
“Against Millwall he played really well.
“He’s making good saves in every week, he’s in a good place.
“But I’ve no worries, I’ve got young Ashley on bench and if I had to put him on it wouldn’t worry me, he’s unbelievable.
“Ben will be back soon and start pushing Dillon, but Dillon’s been excellent.”
