Charlton, Millwall and Brentford all look set to miss out on midfield target Herbie Kane.
The in-demand 20-year-old is expected to serve another season out on loan from parent club Liverpool, with Hull City his most likely destination.
Having played for the Liverpool under-23 through the summer, it’s thought he’s keen to experience more first team football with the Tigers leading the chase.
Kane spent last season on loan at League One’s Doncaster Rovers where he impressed in their run to the play-offs.
Under new Hull manager Grant McCann, Kane made 49 appearances for Donny, scoring seven times and it’s thought the strong relationship they formed is swaying his decision in following him to the Tigers.

Charlton, Brentford, Luton and Millwall were all reported to be interested in taking the Liverpool academy graduate.
Charlton are known to be in the market for a midfielder since the mass exodus from last season where they lost Joe Aribo (Rangers), Josh Cullen (end of loan), Krystian Bielik (end of loan) and Jonny Williams (contract expired).
Millwall, although being active in the transfer market are still keen to bring in a midfielder to fill the void left by Ryan Tunnicliffe whose contract expired in the summer before signing for Championship new boys Luton Town.
