Battersea's Greg Rusedski will join a mix of quality high-profile men's ATP players including Rafael Nadal at this week's final pre-Wimbledon warm up Aspall Tennis Classic (June 25 - 28) at Hurlingham Club near Putney Bridge, writes Ziad Chaudry.

Also appearing alongside Spanish legend Nadal, who last month won his 19th Grand Slam title after retaining the Roland Garros title, in the main field includes Japan's Kei Nishikori, South African Kevin Anderson, flamboyant Australian Nick Kyrgios, 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic, Lucas Pouille, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Marcos Baghdatis, as well as some of tennis’s most promising junior players including Martin Damm and Carlos Alcaraz.

Meanwhile Rusedski, 45, former British one and US Open finalist will play alongside big serving Aussie Mark Philippoussis, Thomas Enqvist, Mikael Pernfors and Mansour Bahrami in a series of entertaining doubles matches.

And Rusedski himself is looking forward to playing with his fellow seniors and also assessing the form of the up-and-coming players before the start of Wimbledon.

“The Aspall Tennis Classic at Hurlingham is such a special event and one that I love attending every year," he said. "It’s a great chance to play on grass before Wimbledon which will be important for the current ATP players.

"I’m looking forward to seeing the new talent play as well as hitting the court with some of the legends!”
