Brentford Thomas Frank expects a completely different game to Friday’s draw with Millwall when Leeds United visit Griffin Park on Monday.

Despite some off-field drama, Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side have been praised for their brand of football this season and Frank expects the Lillywhites to be on their game.

After a surprise 2-1 home defeat to struggling Wigan on Friday, Leeds know they can ill-afford any more slip ups as they fell to third, a point behind Sheffield United, in their quest for promotion.

“I think it’ll be a more open game and end to end,” said Frank.

“On the ball, we will still try to dominate on the ball.

“It’ll be difficult against Leeds as they’ll be more high pressing, more man-to-man.

“Then we know on the ball they’ll try and dominate us more and be more flexible.

“When we are on it we can put in top, fantastic performances.

“We went to Elland Road earlier this year and played a top top game and deserved to win, so it’s not a problem for us to play top teams and give top performances.”

Once touted for promotion themselves earlier in the campaign before a mid-season slump of one win in 14, Brentford’s boss will be forgiven for already planning for an assault on promotion next season.

Surprisingly however, it is not matches against the league’s elite that phase Frank, but more the dropped points away from home at ‘lesser’ teams, an issue he's trying to eradicate now.

“For us, its about consistency and getting a point away from home.

“Im 100% sure we’ll give a performance on Monday, I’m more worried about this (Millwall), Bolton and Preston.

“It’s not a problem to play top teams, we give top performances, it’s about being consistent.”
