Kamohelo Mokotjo is “very doubtful” for Brentford’s trip to relegation-threatened Reading this weekend, says Thomas Frank, as Yoann Barbet could return in a couple weeks.

The 28-year-old is still recovering after being forced off at half time during the draw with Derby County following a clash with Bradley Johnson.

Mokotjo didn’t feature in Brentford’s 2-0 win against Ipswich Town on Wednesday (April 10) and Frank suggests he may not be in the squad on Saturday.

Giving an injury update on his squad, Frank said: “Kamo is very doubtful for Saturday, Yoann is definitely out for Saturday, hopefully [he will be] back for the last two weeks and Daniel Bentley is out for the rest of the season.”

Barbet, whose contract reportedly expires at the end of the season, is rehabilitating an ankle injury he suffered in the draw with Wigan Athletic.

Other than those two Frank does have midfielder Lewis Macleod back as a potential option following his hamstring problem.

But Josh Dasilva could be in line to start his second match in a row following his impressive performance against Ipswich during midweek.

The 20-year-old was a man of the match candidate with his performance, nearly laying on an assist for a second Ollie Watkins goal in the process.

Fellow youngster Mads Bech Sorensen also got 90 minutes under his belt for the third consecutive game as the end of the season draws near.

Meanwhile goalkeeper Luke Daniels continue to deputise between the sticks following Daniel Bentley’s season-ending shoulder injury.
