Grant Hall says his QPR side are going into Saturday’s derby with Brentford full of confidence after their shock win over Leeds United mid-week.
Luke Freeman’s strike against Marco Bielsa’s men ended a seven-game losing streak for the Hoops and the defender claims the surprise win can act as a turning point as they head to Griffin Park.
“It’s bragging rights at the end of the day,” said Hall.
“They’re a good team especially at home, but we’ll be ready for the challenge.
“The win mid-week was huge for confidence, it shows we are capable of competing with anyone on our day.
“Leeds have scored for fun all season and we kept them quiet so hopefully we take it in to Saturday.
“Been a few games recently where luck’s not gone our way.
“The manager said to us, ‘it’ll turn,’ and against Leeds it did, so now were looking forward to the Brentford game.”

'Love a local derby'
Steve McClaren’s men sit one place behind the Bees and have played a game more.
Brentford come in to the game on the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday mid-week, a stark contrast to when they brushed aside Hull City 5-1 at home last weekend.
QPR keeper Joe Lumley who was on fine form in their win over Leeds knows he will have to be on top form once again to keep out Thomas Frank’s men.
“I love a local derby.
“It’s massive for the club because they are only down the road.
“It’s a tight ground, I don’t think both sets of fans like each other too much, but that’s what derbies are all about.
“It’ll be a great day, great game and hopefully we’ll get the win.”
