Here's how we rated Brentford's players.

Luke Daniels – 5 – Other than the McBurnie chance four minutes in, he had almost no trouble all to deal with all first half. Unfortunate for the first two Swansea strikes.

Ezri Konsa – 4 – A nervy first half became a lot worse when he was sent off for hacking down James on the hour. Barbet’s pass was poor but it was a terrible tackle.

Julian Jeanvier – 5 – Despite being caught out occasionally by Swansea he recovered well, though the second half was a complete contrast.

Yoann Barbet – 5 – Made a rash challenge to hack down Daniel James, and was rightly booked, but recovered after that. His pass into Konsa was terrible before the defender was sent off.

Sergi Canos – 5 – Defensively suspect at times when needed to get back. Had a bright opening 45 minutes, especially going forward, but was awful for the Celina goal. Replaced by Nikolaj Kirk.

Moses Odubajo – 6 – Helped to cause Connor Roberts lots of problems with Benrahma down Swansea’s right side.

Romaine Sawyers – 6 – His intervention helped set up the counter-attack which led to the goal. Controlled the midfield in the first half, didn’t replicate it as much in the second.

Kamohelo Mokotjo – 6 – He ran the hard yards but his tackles were pretty weak, Swansea’ midfield eventually got past him and Sawyers. Replaced by Josh McEachran.

Said Benrahma – 8 – A real headache for Swansea, exploited their right-hand side really well. Could’ve set up the second. The defence couldn’t handle him.

Ollie Watkins – 8 – Had a bright start. Worked hard to press the defence up front and took his finish really well.

Neal Maupay – 7 – Could have scored twice, but was late to Canos’ cross and was ruled offside in the other chance. Made up for it with an excellent assist to Watkins.
