Sutton United have been drawn to face Dublin based side Bohemians in the third round of the Irn-Bru Cup.
Amazingly the 290mile journey will be a shorter trip for Paul Doswell’s side compared to that of their previous tie in Scotland.
Tommy Wright’s scored the only goal of the game against Airdrieonians on Saturday and his side will be travelling to the Irish Premier League side on the weekend of October 13 and 14 vying for a place in the quarter final.
Sutton took over a hundred fans for their trip north of the border and will expect a similar turnout at Bohemian’s Dalymount Park.
Bohemians currently sit seventh in the league and are on a three-game winning streak following their 1-0 victory over Peterhead in round two.
It is the first-time teams from England were invited to compete in the competition known as the Scottish Challenge Cup. Boreham Wood, who lost in round 2 on penalties to Dunfermline, were also selected.
The full draw is as follows:
East Fife vs Queen of the South
Arbroath vs Edinburgh City
Bohemian vs Sutton
Dunfermline vs Alloa
Ross County vs Montrose
St Mirren vs Queen’s Park
Motherwell vs Sligo
Connah Quay Nomads vs Coleraine
