Not Going Out is set to have another Christmas Special for the end of 2023, which is given greater importance since it marks the show's 100th episode.
Created and written by Lee Mack, the show has been on our screens since 2006 and is currently the longest-running UK sitcom on air.
Fans can expect the usual mishaps and misunderstandings as Lee and Lucy (played by Sally Bretton) attempt to do something slightly different on Christmas Day.
A summary of the episode on the Radio Times reads: "Lee throws everything at creating the perfect family Christmas, agreeing to Lucy's wishes to do something charitable and avoid anything going wrong.

"This moment of festive spirit sees the couple invite Wilfred, a lonely pensioner from the nearby care home, to join them for Christmas dinner. The only instruction is that Wilfred is not - under any circumstances - allowed to drink alcohol.
"However, given best friend Toby, uptight ice-queen Anna, Lucy's mum Wendy and curmudgeonly dad Geoffrey are all present, the chances of Lee ensuring this Christmas runs to plan look decidedly slim."
Discussing the Not Going Out Christmas Special being the show's 100th episode Lee Mack shared with the Radio Times: "We knew it was going to be the 100th episode, and we really wanted it to be close to a classic British farce, so originally it was gonna start with 'Happy 100th' on a big banner, my great aunt was going to be a hundred years old and she was going to have a mishap.
"But I love Christmas, love the Christmas traditions, always do the cooking, and it seemed there was more comedy in the mishap happening to Father Christmas.
