Will Young has announced he is going on tour in the UK next year.

The '20 Years' tour is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Young winning the original UK series of Pop Idol which shot him to fame.

It will take place from October to November 2022, starting off in Glasgow and ending in London at the Palladium Theatre.

The singer put out a tweet revealing that he was going on tour, saying he was "forever grateful" for the support his fans have given him.

"I've spent the last few months planning how to mark 2022 in the biggest way possible, and top of the list HAD to be an anniversary tour.

"I plan on performing all of your favourite songs from across my career."
