Police have searched the home of a missing mother-of-five for a second time after the investigation received fresh information.

Officers arrived at the house in New Ash Green on Friday as part of ongoing searches after the disappearance and potential murder of Sarah Wellgreen, Kent Police confirmed.

Another house was also searched, a force spokesman said.

The 46-year-old was last seen on October 9 in Bazes Shaw, New Ash Green, and has not been in touch with her family since. She was reported missing on October 11.

Detective inspector Chris Greenstreet said: “Officers are continuing to search a number of areas in north and west Kent in connection with identified lines of enquiry.

“Following information received by the investigation team, a further search of a property in New Ash Green was carried out on the morning of November 2, 2018.”

On Wednesday, police searched woodland near Bluewater shopping centre in Dartford and areas in Greenhithe near the River Thames on Thursday.

Officers have searched several other areas across the county in the last week.

Divers went into the River Darent in Dartford town centre, police and council workers have searched drains and the fire service stepped in with a drone.

Hundreds of members of the public volunteered to help.

Detective Superintendent Paul Fotheringham said she “disappeared without a trace”, which was “entirely out of character”.

The only item missing from her home was her black iPhone 4.

A man in his thirties was arrested on October 16 and released on bail until November 16. Police have said they will not yet disclose what he has been arrested on suspicion of.”

Ms Wellgreen is white, around 5ft 7in, of medium build, with green eyes and straight, brown, shoulder-length hair.

She is believed to have connections to Farnborough and Portsmouth.

Police have asked people who live in the area by the A2, M25, Cobham, Meopham and Horton Kirby to check sheds and woodland for any sign of her and also appealed for any CCTV or security camera footage from New Ash Green.
