Infant children joined the ranks of St Stephen’s Church of England School Primary School for the first time in many years, as the school changed status to an all-through primary school.
The Victorian school in St Margarets is now supplemented with a nearby, newly refurbished infant school site to house 60 reception children.
Headteacher Liz Stubbs said: “This is a very exciting time at St Stephen’s as we move to full primary status.”
