Celebrities came out in force to support children’s charity Shooting Star Chae at a star-studded valentine afternoon tea event.
Families supported by the hospice, which has a base in Hampton, were delighted to spend the day with familiar TV faces, including Shooting Star patrons Max Clifford and Simon Cowell.
The afternoon tea at the Dorchester hotel, in London, also saw the McFly boys, Louis Walsh, Louie Spence and Mohamed and Camilla Al Fayed all make an appearance.
Simon Cowell said: “[Shooting Star hospice is] a wonderful place where so many people both professional and volunteers do so much for the children and their families. My visits and getting to know everyone involved has given me a different perception on life.
“I’ve got to know many of the children there over the years and receive regular texts and messages from them.”
The fundraising event also featured a charity auction of items including X Factor final tickets, and McFly and Westlife tickets. The event raised £110,000.
