The victim, from Acre Road, Kingston, opened her door to a man around 1pm on Thursday, April 20, who told her he had to unplug all the electricity in the flat. He then used the opportunity to look around.
The woman later discovered several items had been moved in the living room and the wardrobe, and her Abbey National pass book was gone.
The thief was 25, white, foreign-sounding, with centre-parted collar-length brown hair, 5ft 4in and wearing a blue fleece and trainers.
