A special event was held to celebrate the vital role Richmond College plays in helping businesses to survive and grow.

The skills surgery was held at the college and organised through the Richmond Chamber of Commerce to give businesses in the area free consultative advice on apprenticeships and skills and training opportunities.

The afternoon event was held as part of the national Training for Business Growth campaign, held to demonstrate the value college training provides to UK companies, last Wednesday.

Richmond College enterprise and skills manager David Warnes said: “This event is an excellent opportunity to showcase the wealth of high quality, cost effective and flexible courses available to employers and demonstrate that colleges are uniquely placed to offer affordable, effective training that fits around the needs of businesses.”
