Nine-year-old Catriona Bricknell shows off her medals after scooping a gold and silver at the British Transplant Games.
Catriona, who had a heart transplant when she was five months old, was among 700 athletes who competed in the games in Bath last month.
The St Mary’s and St Peter’s School pupil won her medals in swimming – clinching the gold in the breaststroke.
Proud mum Iona Bricknell, of Church Road, Teddington, said: “She was very nervous about it going in, but she was really thrilled to have won.”
