The parents of a missing teenage girl were relieved today when police found their daughter "safe and well".

Harini Payagala, 16, was reported missing on Saturday after vanishing from the Priory Hospital in Roehampton.

Harini, from Kew, had been receiving treatment for severe anorexia when she disappeared and police were concerned for her safety.

Police said the teenager was last seen at the hospital at 9pm on Saturday and after she disappeared police issued a description of her.

At 12pm today, after more than three days missing, Harini was spotted standing near Beverley Brook in Palewell Park.

Ettienne Graham, 33, a professional golf coach at Palewell pitch and putt, spotted the teenager and called police.

He said: "I was keeping an eye out and saw a girl standing there. She was wearing the clothes from the description so I called police.

"I've got a two year old myself so I know what it feels like being a parent and know how it would feel if it were my son.

"I'm just glad she's in safe hands."

A police spokeswoman confirmed that Harini had been found earlier today, and said she was "safe and well".
