Hampton boss Chick Botley is battling to keep his young, promotion-winning stars at the club.

Negotiations with Conference side Hayes over the transfer of Barry Moore continue.

And it looks likely the talented midfielder will go.

Darren Powell has rejected approaches from Stevenage and Hayes, and has declared his immediate future still lies with the Beavers.

Mark Russell, Nick Burton and Ian Savage have signed new contracts.

And there will be a new face at Beveree next season, in the shape of central defender Steve Croxford who signed last week from Wokingham Town.

Botley is promising more signings and said: "I am continuing negotiations with an experienced striker and hope to complete the deal next week. In addition I am looking at two wide players ."

Hampton will play a special challenge match on Saturday, August 1, for the Melksham Middlesex Shield. As winners of the Middlesex Charity Cup, Hampton will meet Melksham Town of the Screwfix Direct Western League, who won the Wiltshire Premier Shield last season.

The match is at Melksham Town's ground in Melksham, Wiltshire. The Shield match will be followed by a reserve team game. Kick-off times are still to be agreed.

p The club urgently needs a qualified physiotherapist for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Contact Chick Botley on 0181 979 2456.
