A total of 95 young men and women from around Richmond were given bronze and silver awards under the Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme last Wednesday.
Richmond Mayor Councillor Maureen Woodriff made presentations to Richmond's finest at York House. She thanked all participants by saying: "I would like to thank you and congratulate you on completion of your bronze and silver levels. I do hope many of you will go on to attain your gold award."
The recipients come from schools and youth groups around the borough and the award is open to any young person aged 14 to 23.
Activities followed by the youngsters include music, singing, photography and sports as well as charity work. In addition they must take a 15 or 30 mile expedition over several days.
