A 16-year-old girl was today recovering in hospital after being wounded in the stomach during an assault.
Police were called just before 1am on Saturday to reports of the teenager being attacked at the junction of Burlington Lane and Paxton Road in Chiswick.
When officers arrived at the scene they discovered the teenage victim had suffered a wound to her stomach.
A spokesman from Hounslow police said: “She was taken to a west London hospital where she is still receiving treatment.
"Her condition is stable.”
He revealed that a group of five men - aged between 17 and 20 years old - have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
They have been bailed until October pending futher inquiries.
Officers from Hounslow CID are investigating the incident and are asking anyone who saw what happened or anyone with information to call Hounslow police on 020 8247 6160 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
