Pop legend Jools Holland will be topping the bill at this year’s Rhythm Force concert.

The former Squeeze musician and host of BBC music show Later . . . is due to return to Kneller Hall as the headline act on Saturday, September 19. He will be accompanied on stage by the Army Big Band.

Other acts on the night include Monck, the band of the Coldstream Guards, Tanked Up, from the Heavy Cavalry and Cambrai Band and the Rifles band Liquid Lunch.

This will be the fourth year the open-air concert has been staged at the Royal Military School of Music’s base in Kneller Road, Whitton, where members of the armed forces’ 32 military bands recieve their initial training.

Proceeds from the night will go to the Army Benevolent Fund, which provides support to serving and former soldiers in times of need, and the British Forces Foundation.

Gates open at 4pm, concert starts at 7pm.
