A cordon is in place outside City Thameslink station as police deal with an incident. 

Emergency were called to Fleet Place near Holborn Viaduct at around 9.30am on Wednesday (February 21). 

City of London Police have not elaborated on the nature of the incident. 

A police cordon remains in place as of Wednesday afternoon and one entrance to City Thameslink station is currently closed to the public. 

Chief Inspector Rob Bell, at the City of London Police, said: “The City of London Police is dealing with an incident at Fleet Place near Holborn Viaduct after officers were called at around 9:30am. 

 “One entrance at the City Thameslink Station is currently closed to the public.” 

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (Wednesday) at 9.15am to reports of an incident at the junction of Snow Hill and Holborn Viaduct , EC4. 

“An ambulance crew and incident response officer are currently on scene alongside emergency services colleagues.” 

The London Ambulance Service stood down from the scene at around 2pm on Wednesday.
