Boss Andy Scott forced Brentford's players to hear Hereford United celebrate their promotion from League Two after Saturday's Griffin Park humbling.
Scott admitted Graham Turner's men deserved their achievement after securing their third promotion spot.
But he was angry with Brentford's performance and the fact the Bulls were able to clinch their League One place so emphatically.
"I left the door open in our changing room so they could hear Hereford celebrating," said Scott.
"They deserved to celebrate. They are a strong unit and over 45 games Graham has put together a side that deserved to be promoted.
"But I hate people celebrating on my match.
"It is not good and I don't want it to happen again.
"But I think we can reflect on their celebrations at some stage next season and it will trigger things in the mind that we want it to be us. We will use it to our advantage."
