Police have released a picture of a man they want to speak to after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a bus in Hounslow.

It happened just after 4pm on April 19 after the girl boarded a route 222 bus in Bell Road.

She made her way to the top deck and sat down before a man boarded and sat next to her.

He is described as being around 5ft, 5inches tall, of chubby build and wearing a dark coloured baseball cap and mustard coloured t shirt.

As the girl went to leave the bus around 15 minutes later, the man sexually assaulted her.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police investigating an allegation of sexual assault on a bus in Hounslow have issued an image of a man they would like to speak to.

"The incident happened just after 16:00hrs on Tuesday, 19 April after a 16-year-old girl boarded a route 222 bus in Bell Road, Hounslow.

"She made her way to the top deck and sat down.

"A male, described as approximately 5ft 5in tall, of chubby build and wearing a dark coloured baseball cap and mustard coloured T- shirt, then boarded and set next to her.

"As the girl went to leave the bus around 15 minutes later, the male sexually assaulted her.
