A cyclist was airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car in Hadleigh.

Essex Police is appealing for information after the incident in London Road, the A13, near to the junction with Woodfield Road.

Officers were called following reports a silver pick-up truck being driven by a white woman was in collision with a cyclist and left the scene prior to emergency services attending.

It happened today (Sunday July 10) at about 9.45am.

The cyclist, in their 40s, was taken to hospital by air ambulance after he sustained several injuries.

They are not described as life-threatening or life-changing.
