RICHMOND Upon Thames will still be under the control of Liberal Democrats after the local 2022 elections.

A total of 18 wards will be represented by three councillors each.

Barnes, East Sheen, Hampton, Hampton Wick and South Teddington, Heathfield, Kew, North Richmond, St Margarets and North Twickenham, Teddington, Twickenham Riverside, West Twickenham, Whitton, all saw Liberal Democrat victories.

The Liberal Democrats won 48 seats (55 per cent) out of a possible 54.

The Green Party came in second by winning five seats.

Fulwell and Hampton Hill, Mortlake and Barnes Common, Ham, Petersham and Richmond Riverside, south Richmond and south Twickenham were all split between Liberal Democrats and the Green Party.
