Royal Parks Police have released a picture of a car captioned the "winner of worst parking of the day".
Richmond Park police dealt with the parking on Saturday.
According to officers, the driver was "locked in the park and became disorientated" on Friday night.
They reminded drivers to call 101 so that officers can help if the gates are locked.
Royal Parks Police tweeted: "Officers at #RichmondPark are dealing with the current winner of worst parking of the day.
"It appears the driver was locked in the park last night and became disoriented.
"Drivers are advised to call 101 so that officers can attend to assist you if the gates are locked."
