An array of beautiful sculptures will come to Teddington in the new year courtesy of the Surrey Sculpture Society.

The group announced its Sculpture Showcase would return to the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington in February with renowned Sculptor Kate Viner, commissioned for various public arts projects during her career, revealed as the Signature Artist for the event.

As well as offering insights into her work and career, Viner and her work will also be joined by those of other sculptors soon to be declared the winners and runners up of the Surrey Sculpture Society Prize for New and Emerging Artists 2022.

A host of both 2D and 3D visual art rounds out an art show offering a copious amount of treats from some of the best artists working in the region today.

"We are delighted to be back exhibiting at this stunning Teddington venue in 2022 having had last year's plans thwarted by lockdown,"Caroline Wheaton, the SSS Exhibition Manager for the event said.

Richmond and Twickenham Times:

"As usual our Sculpture Showcase will feature not only some fantastic sculpture and 2D work from our talented artists, but also live sculpture demonstrations throughout the event. As tradition dictates, we also hope to inspire the next generation of artists by welcoming local school children to the event. We look forward to seeing as many visitors as possible for this, our first exhibition of the year," she added.

The Landmark Art Centre's Visual Arts Curator Abigail Thomas also expressed her delight at the coming exhibition.

"The Landmark is thrilled to once again welcome and host the Surrey Sculpture Society in exhibiting with us and kicking off 2022’s visual arts programme. Our local community will be delighted to see another high quality show from the members of the society. As always, our Grade II listed building is a great backdrop to any sculpture, large or small, and we thoroughly look forward to seeing what will be exhibited."
