Temperatures are set to soar in London this weekend as the city braces for a weekend of sunny spells.

A weekend with temperatures in the mid-twenties is what we've all been waiting for and it's now on it's way.

This September-beginning weekend will see highs of 24 degrees Celsius as the sun peeks through the clouds throughout.

The weekend is forecast to begin with dark cloud up until around 11am on Saturday, and the dark will quickly turn to light and the sun will be out and shining by 1pm.

Saturday will see highs of 20 degrees Celsius and the sunny spells are set to last for the entirety of the day.

And, the sun will have its hat back on on Sunday when temperatures will rise and the air should feel pretty warm.

Sunday will be the hottest day of the weekend and the soaring temperatures are set to continue into next week.
