Four of the most unusual residencies in the world are within driving distance from south London - and you can go and stay in them.
If you fancy staying somewhere a bit different, and definitely unusual, Host Unusual is where to find your spot.
It's filled with some of the world's most weird and wonderful places - including anything from an overnight boathouse to sleeping alfresco under the stars.
And, Surrey is lucky enough to be home to two of its unusual posts - known as Kymani Godstone Valley and The Merry Harriers Shepherd's Hut.
Kymani Godstone Valley - Surrey
Kymani Godstone Valley was founded by two experts in events management who wanted to create luxurious, large group glamping breaks.
It features up to 10 furnished bell tents which each sleep four guests and is open from June to October 2021.
There is a nine-acre field to explore with 'proper' toilets and a programme of on-site activities from sunrise yoga to quad biking.
There's breakfast and dinner on offer everyday and a pre-stocked bar with a selection of favourites.
The tents come equipped with a sofa and a wood-burner, and even a hanging candelabra.
There's a double bed plus two single beds.
It's located just over half an hour from the Surrey Hills.
Arrival is from 3pm and departure must be by 10am.
Prices start at £197.50 per night for one tent for two people - with the minimum booking as two tents for two nights.
The Merry Harriers Shepherd's Hut - Surrey
The Merry Harriers Shepherd's Hut is also a Surrey unusual favourite.
Located in Hambledon, these huts are set by a pond that overlooks the Surrey Hills.
There are five shepherd's huts packed with hotel suite-style luxury and a log burner for colder evenings.
It comes with a rainfall shower, Nespresso machine, a bottle of wine, hair dryer and hot water bottles.
Outside is a firepit for marshmallow toasting and sun loungers for when the weather allows.
The huts are dog friendly and breakfast is included for the price of £150 per night.
Each hut sleeps two people.
Luna Domes - Kent
Kent is home to the Luna Domes which is the brandchild of co-founders Johnny who grew up on a farm in rural Tansania and Dan, an artistic creator with a background in private hospitality and events.
Their geodesic domes are stylish and luxurious located on a family-owned manor that boasts 20 acres of manicured gardens and woodlands.
Each dome sleeps up to four guests in two king sized beds and each heated dome has a view of woodland.
One dome is dog friendly and two others come with their own wood-fired hot tubs.
There's a bean bag lounger, comfy dining area and well-equipped kitchenette - not to mention each dome's own W-Fi hub and media console.
Electric bike hire is available on site.
Domes cost £160 per night with a minimum stay of two nights - though one night stays may be possible as and when they come available.
The Up Atlantic Room - Loughborough Junction
The Up Atlantic Room is a rare opportunity to stay in a guest room in an architect's residence.
It's the result of an extraordinary renovation within a Victorian house in Loughborough Junction - within walking distance to the popular Brixton.
Owner architect Colin Macinnes' home became an architectural project which allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of building practices.
Following major transformation of the two upper levels of the charming Victorian house, a spacious open plan living and kitchen area now occupies the upper floor, whilst the lower floor has a private triple-glazed guest room with small outdoor terrace and communal bathroom access.
The style is industrial yet with clever use of reclaimed timber from the original roof space.
Guests have use of the upper space until 10am each morning to make tea or coffee and relax in the lounge, after which it is used as Colin's working studio.
Insulation was a major factor in the renovation, meaning the space is kept warm and soundproofed, ideal within such an urban location.
The guest room has an art house cinema virtually opposite, whilst a two-minute walk brings you to the nearest station and fast connection to London Blackfriars and all the capital has to offer.
It costs from £70 per night to stay there, it sleeps two in one bedroom and has one bathroom.
The minimum stay is one night.
