So here is the top 10 best places to eat in the town according to TripAdvisor, and why they reviewers think they are a must visit:

1. Chatora​

Based in Kew Road, Chatora has been crowned TripAdvisor's number one spot.

It's got an Indian and Asian contemporary menu which is vegan and vegetarian friendly.

It earned 150 five star (excellent) ratings out of the 164 reviews left on the site.

One reviewer said: "Excellent food, service and atmosphere.

"Definitely worth a visit!

"Made to feel very welcome.

"A welcome addition to the Richmond restaurant scene."

Another added: "Our food was absolutely delicious and can totally see why this place is in the Michelin Guide!"

Coffee and Cake Co. in Sheen Lane bags the number two spot - and is known for its home-made offerings.

It even sells the "most delicious vegan bana loaf EVER" according to one reviewer.

The cafe/ restaurant got 84 five star (excellent) ratings out of 89 people who left TripAdvisor reviews.

A reviewer posted: "Fabulous coffee and delicious cakes.

"The best almond croissants in town!

"Also as well as delicious home made cakes saviouries delicious as well, especially the quiches!"

3. Revolution

Revolution in Whittaker Avenue has more than 1,000 five star reviews.

Surely that says it all?!

One reviwer dubbed the joint as a "10/10 visit".

Another said it has "an excellent atmosphere, good drinks, and good food".

Revolution serves British food, pizza and cocktails.

4. Al Boccon Di'vino is Non Solo Vino

This taste of Italy and the Mediterranean is based in Red Lion Street.

Known as a "little slice of heaven", it's vegetarian friendly.

It bags the fourth TripAdvisor spot for its authenticity according to one reviewer.

Another said: "So glad that this little slice of heaven is open again.

"Genuinely missed this place and the hospitality was as always sublime..."

5. Sebastian's Italian

183 out of 227 reviews for Sebastian's got five stars on TripAdvisor.

According to reviewers, it's family friendly and the pizzas are something to shout about.

One person even said it's the best Italian they've ever been to.

6, 7, 8, 9 and 10

In sixth spot comes Chez Lindsay which is rated an overall four-and-a-half stars.

It's "excellent in every way" according to one reviewer as others shouted out the crab and the goats cheese.

Number seven is seafood restaurant Pier 1 - living up to it's name.

This one also got four-and-a-half stars for it's fish and chips offerings.

In spot number eight is nothing less than the classic sushi haunt - Yo Sushi!

One reviewer said they "love" sitting in the booth with a "great variety" of sushi on the belt.

It's rated four-and-a-half stars.

Richmond Vault Beer Cellar and Restaurant is the ninth on TripAdvisor's list - but it's still rated highly.

It gets four-and-a-half stars for it's mussels, bar and british cuisine.

And, last but by no means least, Treviso Mediterranean and Italian restaurant is at number 10.

One reviewer said they had "the best pasta" they'd ever had when visiting - so it definitely does sound like a winner.
