London will be hit with strong winds, heavy rain and thunder today (Friday) as Storm Evert hits the UK.

London has been the victim of some treacherous conditions over the recent days – with heavy rain, thunder and flooding.

And according to the Met Office, there’s no sign of improvement as the weekend approaches.

It is predicting a day with outbreaks of rain which are likely to be “heavy and persistent”.

Although it might brighten up slightly this afternoon, some areas are likely to still be battered by some heavy and thundery rain.

There are currently no flood warnings in place across London.

The Met Office’s yellow weather warnings for wind also do not cover the London area at this time.

The weekend is predicted to be brighter, but with chances of heavy rain and thunder developing throughout.
