Richmond residents can take part in a series of interactive quizzes and trails this August.

VisitRichmond and the Richmond Card team have partnered with local entertainment business ‘Interrupt the Routine’ to bring residents fun and family-friendly entertainment next month as part of #RichmondLive.

After over a year of mostly closed doors at the borough’s, #RichmondLive is VisitRichmond’s celebration of local music, dance, theatre and art.

Entertainment seekers can access the interactive trail routes from 1 August for free on the VisitRichmond website, or can collect them from the VisitRichmond kiosk at Richmond station.

The four trails are based in Twickenham, Richmond, Barnes and the whole borough, and those taking part will need to solve clues and complete tasks as they walk along the trails.

The quizzes are held every Saturday in August from 5.00pm - 6.00pm with each quiz focusing on a different area of the borough, giving families the chance to test their local knowledge and learn something new about Richmond upon Thames.

The four quizzes are free to enter, and the top prizes are a family ticket to Kew Gardens or a family ticket to the WWT London Wetlands Centre.

Those who complete all the quizzes and trails will get 20% off at The Museum of Rugby and Stadium Tour.

Cllr Julia Neden-Watts, Chair of the Environment, Sustainability, Culture and Sports Services Committee, said:

“This is a wonderful opportunity for families in the borough to get involved with some local entertainment over the school summer holiday and discover more about where they live. It’s also open to those visiting the borough to help celebrate #RichmondLive and the return of music, dance, theatre and art to the borough!”
