The van has "Mother Theresa" written on the side
A VAN used to deliver hot meals to those unable to afford food has been stolen.
Police are searching for a white "meals on wheels" van that was stolen while delivering in the Uckfield area around 2.00pm this afternoon.
The vehicle has "Mother Theresa" written on the side and the number plate is MT10YUM.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: " Please dial 999 if you see it - thank you."
"Meals on wheels" is a program that delivers meals to individuals at home who are unable to purchase or prepare their own meals.
Many of the people who drive the vans are volunteers, who help delvier food across the county.
