CUMBRIA Wildlife Trust has produced an online booklet to help people explore the county's sand dunes.
A spokeswoman for the organisation said: "Sandy mountains, winding paths, hidden ponds and animal tracks - there’s lots of things to discover.
"My Wild Dunes booklet is packed full of ideas for you and your family to have a memorable day out on the dunes.
"Working with Dynamic Dunescapes, a national project restoring sand dune across England and Wales, we have put together this guide for you to uncover the secrets of the sand dunes in Cumbria.
"Learn about the wildlife, history and hidden gems within these special environments and find out what we are doing to help the wildlife that lives there.
"From Silloth to Walney Island, there’s many places you can go to explore."
