A NEW map has been published which shows the number of active coronavirus cases in each postcode area.
The map, which tracks the number of people who have tested positive over the last seven days, allows the public to check the number of cases almost right down to their neighbourhood.
Across south Essex, many postcodes have just two confirmed cases per area, but others are slightly higher - but importantly are still not in 'outbreak' territory.
At the moment, the areas with the most active cases are:
- Winter Gardens, Canvey: 7
- Leigh Beck, Canvey: 4
- Chalkwell: 3
- Thorpe Bay: 3
- Lee Chapel South & Kingswood: 4
- Basildon Central & Pipps Hill: 4
- Whitmore Way & Fremnells: 3
- Bursteads: 5
The latest figures are available for August 30 to September 5.
You can access the map here to see the specific details for your neighbourhood.
