Britons ate more than 100 million meals as part of Eat Out to Help Out last month, according to the Treasury.
But how many discounted meals were consumed in your south west London constituency?
Initial figures have revealed that restaurant bookings surged as a result of the stimulus programme designed to boost the hospitality sector after it was hammered by the enforced closure of pubs, restaurants and cafes.
Diners received a state-backed 50% discount on meals and soft drinks up to £10 each between Mondays and Wednesdays in August.
We have ranked constituencies in south west London by how many meals were claimed for.
1. Croydon North - 161,000 meals
Croydon North topped the list, with 161,000 meals being claimed in across 151 eligible restaurants. A total of £705,000 discount was claimed for, with the average saving of £4.37 per meal.
2. Croydon Central - 155,000 meals
Croydon Central came a close second, with 155,000 meals claimed in across 131 restaurants.
However, locals made more of the discount, claiming £953,000 back from the Government with an average per meal saving of £6.14.
3. Battersea - 143,000 meals
Battersea came third, with 143,000 meals claimed across 175 restaurants. A total of £875,000 discount was claimed for, with an average saving of £6.13.
5. Esher and Walton - 111,000 meals
Esher and Walton saw 111,000 meals claimed across 114 restaurants. A total of £627,000 discount was claimed for, with an average saving of £5.66.
6. Tooting - 109, 000
Next came Tooting with 109,000 meals claimed across 157 restaurants. A total of £743,000 discount was claimed for, with an average saving of £6.82 .
7. Richmond Park - 86,000 meals
Richmond Park claimed 86,000 meals across 143 restaurants. A total of £596,000 discount was claimed for, with an average saving of £6.97.
8. Twickenham - 75,000 meals
Twickenham claimed 75,000 meals across 130 restaurants. A total of £75,000 discount was claimed for, with an average saving of £6.70.
9. Sutton and Cheam - 71,000 meals
Sutton and Cheam came in close behind, with 71,000 meals claimed across 86 restaurants. A total of £350,000 discount was claimed for, with an average saving of £4.90.
10. Wimbledon - 61,000 meals
Across 105 restaurants, Wimbledon claimed 61,000 meals. A total of £350,000 discount was claimed for, with an average saving of £4.90.
11. Epsom and Ewell- 55,000 meals
Across 71 restaurants in the constituency, 55,000 meals were claimed for, adding up to a total of £338,000 discount. The per meal average was £6.11.
12. Carshalton and Wallington - 54,000 meals
54,000 meals were claimed across 48 restaurants. A total of £245,000 discount was claimed for, with an average saving of £4.55.
13. Putney- 40,000 meals
Across 82 restaurants in Putney, 40,000 meals were claimed for, adding up to a total of £251,000 discount. The per meal average was £6.21.
14. Croydon South - 34,000 meals
Croydon South saw 34,000 meals claimed across 81 restaurants. A total of £242,000 discount was claimed for, with an average saving of £7.15.
15. Mitcham and Morden - 14,000 meals
In last was Mitcham and Morden, with 14,000 meals claimed for across 29 restaurants. This amounted to £87,000 savings, at an average of £6.23 per meal.
