The Met Office has issued a 24-hour yellow "danger to life" warning ahead of Storm Francis.
The storm is set to arrive in Essex this morning and could bring winds of up to 51mph in south Essex.
Forecasters say it will be here until 9am tomorrow.

It will bring wind and rain which is predicted to cause mass disruption and danger across the county.
The Met Office said: "Storm Francis will bring some very strong winds leading to disruption to travel and power supplies along with potential damage to trees.
"Injuries and danger to life from flying debris are possible.
"Some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs, could happen."
They went on to warn: "Power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
"Injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties."
