South Western Railway has launched a campaign to celebrate local businesses across the region, with three tailored business recovery packages up for grabs.

The company are urging residents to nominate their favourite local business for a chance to receive a £12,000 business package.

Local businesses have been some of the hardest hit by the pandemic and as restrictions begin to ease it is important now more than ever that we all support them.

Whether it’s the village butcher’s, the local artisan baker or the town’s most frequented café, South Western Railway wants to know which businesses residents and visitors to London and the South West cherish most, and why.

Richmond and Twickenham Times:

Each recovery package includes £2,000 of bespoke equipment and South Western Railway marketing support, including promotional activity within their train stations.

What’s more, two further businesses will be in with a chance of winning the top prize of a tailored business package as well as advertising on Smooth or Heart Radio, allowing them to promote their business across the region even further.

All nominations received will be reviewed by the expert judging panel, and the five businesses will be carefully selected.

Additionally, each nominee will be entered into a draw to win one of two £1,000 cash prizes.

South Western Railway’s commercial director, Peter Williams, said: “Local businesses are the lifeblood of the regional economy, now more than ever it's important we support them.

"This campaign will allow our customers to celebrate the local businesses that are at the heart of their communities.”

Nominations for favourite local businesses can be made at southwesternrailway.com/greatdays before 11.59 pm, tonight ( July 19).
