A WINCHESTER man who tried to steal two cars has been jailed for 12 weeks.
Carl Philip Coles, 46, of Hyde Gate, Hyde, breached a suspended sentence when he was caught on April 2 interfering with a Mercedes E200 and a Renault Zoe Dynamique and breaking a criminal behaviour order. He admitted the charges.
Magistrates in Basingstoke also ordered Coles to pay a £122 victim surcharge.
In March, Coles narrowly avoided a prison term for tampering with a car.
He admitted interfering with a parked D-reg VW van with the intention of theft in Walton Place, Stanmore on March 7.
Coles also admitted touching an unattended vehicle in an area of Winchester and Kings Worthy when prohibited by a criminal behaviour order made on January 22.
