A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a Range Rover in Leyton on Saturday evening.

The 27-year-old Suzuki GSXR rider was treated by paramedics but died at the scene – he has yet to be formally identified.

A 20-year-old man – the driver of the white Range Rover involved in the collision – has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is being questioned at an east London police station.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage of the incident at about 11pm on Saturday, May 30 at the junction of High Road and Grove Green, Leyton.

The investigation is being led by detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU).
