Police officers have issued a warning to road users after motorists have been caught using empty roads as a 'race track.'
The lockdown, which has caused a reduction in traffic, has seen drivers take advantage of the empty roads by speeding.
Residents in Twickenham have taken to Twitter to raise their concerns on the rule breaks.
One resident said: "Could those who are choosing to spend the lockdown racing their cars up and down on Richmond Road in Twickenham, please go home."
Met Police have taken to Twitter to highlight the issue.
A spokesperson for South Twickenham Police said: "With the reduction of traffic on the roads, some motorists have been using the empty roads as a race track.
"Beware our Road Traffic Units are still out there working hard on the streets making the roads safer for more vulnerable road users."
