Hounslow's Jamia Mosque and Islamic Centre has played host to a study day in which the Bishop of Kensington led a detailed discussion.
The discussion, entitled "Who is my Muslim neighbour?" saw the Bishop and 75 clergy men talk about the relationship between the Muslim and Christian communities in the UK.
Speakers included Iman Shahid Raza, principal of the Muslim College in London and Imam Sulaimani Khan, the Head Imam at Hounslow Mosque, who spoke about the need for Christian and Muslim faiths to engage with each other.
Bishop Michael said: "Christians and Muslims are called today to have a constructive relationship that is beneficial not only to ourselves but also for the mainly secular society in which we live in today.
"Today is an important day when we begin to look together at our common ground and goals, and what we can do for the good of all God's people here in West London."
